And Kit Harington proved exactly why as he hit the beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Wednesday while showing off his incredibly toned physique.
The 29-year-old Londoner no doubt turned heads on the South American shores as he paraded his phenomenal frame in a pair of simple black swim shorts, while one of his pals was seen having a feel of his ripped abs.

Kit, whose Game Of Thrones character was killed off in season five, was flaunting a gym-honed albeit pale chest while enjoying his day on the beach.
Sipping a deliciously frosty cocktail to unwind in the balmy climes, fun-loving Kit, who has previously modeled for Christian Dior, looked a mile away from the pouting, brooding Jon Snow.
As he walked along the shores, the handsome actor wore his famed curls in a tumbling loose style yet later pulled the tresses off his face and into a trendy man-bun.
A well-kept beard added to Kit’s rugged charm while he concealed his eyes behind a chic pair of sunglasses for his beach stroll.

Despite strutting along the shores in a maroon T-shirt earlier in the day, the actor no doubt pleased passersby when he peeled off the garment to reveal his hard-earned physique.
Although looking every inch the muscly hunk, Kit’s cool credentials plummeted slightly when it appeared he had been slightly lapse with his sun-cream application.
The Acton-born hunk showed off a comically placed sun-burn which showed the pale markings of a T-shirt before extending into a crimson hue on his lower arms, neck and face.
His jaunt to Brazil could have been a belated birthday celebration, after ringing in his 29th year on Boxing Day although fans are no doubt hoping it is a chill out session after filming.
While Kit looked as though work was the last thing on his mind, many fans will no doubt be left wondering if this is a well-earned break after wrapping filming season six of the fantasy show.
Fans have long questioned the finality of Jon Snow’s death after he was brutally murdered and the rumour mill went into overdrive in December when he was spotted at the show’s wrap party at Ulster Museum in Northern Ireland.
Twitter fan account @HaringtonFan posted two selfies taken by a reveler inside the shindig, which clearly show the actor wandering in the background.
Ever since his character Jon Snow was brutally murdered by his Night’s Watch comrades, fans of the show have staunchly refused to accept his death, even with author George RR Martin’s infamous lack of sentimentality towards his creations.
Initially, the denial was purely fueled by sheer fan love for the naively loyal yet ruggedly handsome bastard son of Winterfell.
But since the closing scene of season five – which faded on a stab hole-riddled Jon lying in a pool of his own blood – meticulously collected evidence has been mounting that the 998th Lord Commander would return… in some form or another.
The show’s creators, cast members and Kit himself have continuously insisted he is not coming back.
The final nail in the coffin appeared to come shortly after season 5 wrapped when the Brit cut his trademark long curly locks, revealing that he had been barred from doing so by the show’s producers, a stipulation he was now free from.
