Moment BBC host Kate Humble strips off to skinny dip in lake video

A bit of rough and Humble! BBC host Kate, 49, goes NAKED during freezing skinny dip in wildlife show… as viewers confess they now ‘fancy the a**e off’ the star

She is used to trawling the countryside and reporting on wildlife and science

Yet Kate Humble took things to a new level on BBC series Off The Beaten Track, which first aired last month, on Wednesday evening, as she stripped totally naked for a dip in an icy freshwater lake in Wales alongside artist Natasha Brooks.

Viewers took to Twitter to laud the 49-year-old Springwatch star, as she was given a nod for her ‘bravery’ atop garnering new admirers for the extremely frosty dip, during which she admitted: ‘I can’t speak because it’s so cold.’

Kate has been on-screen since the Nineties, having hosted reels of hit shows, including Countryfile, Animal Park, Rough Science and Top Gear, however Wednesday’s show was undoubtedly her most shocking to date.

As she immersed herself in the water, the youthful-looking star displayed her derriere as she was filmed from a number of angles including underwater, from a birds-eye view and while jumping into the lake before wrapping up with a towel.

Last year, Kate discussed getting naked and even calling for a nude spin-off of her top show Springwatch: ‘I’ve stripped off loads of times on camera when there are reasons for it. I don’t know why we haven’t done Nude Watch yet.’

The star admitted that she and her TV producer husband Ludo Graham often strip off while on holiday: ‘We have a shack in France by a lake and I hardly ever wear clothes when we’re there and I swim naked. There’s something joyous about it.”

Fans soon swarmed Twitter to praise the star: ‘And naked in front of a TV crew scarey… @katehumble Great programme in Wales. Big shout out for the swim last night!!… Very careful camera work needed for yesterday’s episode…
